What's the shelf life of the cartridge in an unused condition.
HI Scott, Filter Lifespan; The filter cartridge has a shelf life of 10 years if unopened. If cared for properly, filter cartridges can last 2 years after opening. The filter lifespan will vary depending on the amount of water contamination. The clearer the water, the longer the filter will last. High levels of silt or sediment will shorten the life of the filter. Our filter cartridges are tested using worst-case scenario water, meaning the average filter cartridge will provide up to 600 litres of treated water. When water no longer passes through the filter cartridge, it's time to replace it. Once primed, the filter cartridge can be used continuously for up to 3 months or until it becomes blocked - whichever occurs first.
