Review of Adjustable Cable Lock by Will "Bought this to secure luggage to an immovable object when travelling by train after a scare on the Eurostar (couldn't find my bag on arrival at Paris - turned out someone had moved it). Looks like it will do the job, though I recommend a few dummy runs first so you can wrap your head around where to pass the cable and how best to use the sliding lock feature. Arguably it's more versatile than the retractable cable lock - though more faff.
