What is Hydrofibre?
Hydrofibre is a lightweight and highly absorbent material used in our towel range which dries 10x quicker than a conventional beach towel and absorbs 6x its own weight in water.
What is Softfibre?
Softfibre is another material we use in some of our trek towel range. It has been brushed to make it extra soft to the touch, whilst remaining super absorbent (9x its own weight in water) and quick drying (8x quicker than a standard beach towel).
What is Microfibre?
Microfibre is another towel fabric that we use at Lifeventure, but differs from the others in that it is designed to have a similar feel to a traditional towel. It dries 6 x quicker than a standard towel and absorbs 7x its own weight in water.
What is AXP?
AXP is a permanent antibacterial formula with which we treat all our trek towels; the broad spectrum treatment becomes integral to the fabric fibres, preventing the build up of bacteria, keeping your towel cleaner and fresher-smelling for longer. The treatment is designed to last for the entire life of the towel.
What is EX3?
EX3 is a specialist antibacterial treatment which gives a triple-layer protection to fabrics against the build-up of bacteria and odours. EX3 also protects against the threat of mosquitoes and bedbugs. It's used in our Lifeventure sleepers and any other sleep gear where you see the EX3 label.
What is RFID?
RFID stands for Radio-Frequency Identification. It’s a very useful and increasingly utilised technology; an RFID chip can store and read data which helps identify your bank card, passport, drivers license or other documentation electronically. However, when unprotected, your RFID documents can be scanned and tracked, exposing sensitive data without you knowing.
The solution is a fabric which is ‘electromagnetically opaque’, which doesn’t allow radio waves to penetrate it. The RFID blocking fabric used in Lifeventure RFiD wallets prevents the reading of your RFID- embedded documents, dramatically reducing the risk of electronic identity theft.
What is Thermafibre?
Thermafibre is a material which gives high performance insulation and comfort. It is used in the Lifeventure sleeping bag range.
What is TIV?
TIV stands for 'Thermally Induced Vacuum', it's an efficient method of insulating the container. There is an airtight chamber between the core of the flask and the wall, from which air has been evacuated. With fewer air molecules in the vacuum cavity, it takes longer for heat to escape from the contents as the process of heat transfer is slowed.
What is TSA?
TSA stands for Transport Security Administration. Some Lifeventure locks are TSA compatible which means that customs officers can open your locks without breaking them in the event that they need to inspect your luggage.
Which type of towel is the best?
Lifeventure offer 4 types of towel, and the best one for you depends on what kind of activity you’re getting up to.
The lightest towel on the market is the Hydrofibre towel- this is also the quickest-drying towel.
If you want the softest and most universal towel then the Softfibre is the one for you. The original Softfibre towel, the Lifeventure towel has been developed to be even softer and have the best antibacterial treatment available.
There is also another version of the Softfibre called the Compact towel designed for those on a tighter budget.
Finally, for those who want luxury, the Microfibre towel has the feel of your everyday bath towel you have at home. Slightly heavier and less compact, but more absorbent.
Can I retreat my towel with Antibacterial?
No need, we’ve already done it for you. All towels are treated with Polygiene permanent antibacterial treatment.
How do I wash my towel?
40 degrees in your washing machine will be absolutely fine. Best to leave out fabric conditioner, though, as this can clog the fibres and make your towel less effective.

Lifeventure have tested the hammock up to a weight of up to 18 stone.
How do you wash your silk liners?

Can I put my Ellipse bowl/cutlery in the microwave or dishwasher?
