Charlie Paton

Antarctic Adventurer

Charlie Paton is an Ex-Royal Marine Commando who is taking on the adventure of a lifetime, crossing Antarctica with a small team of others in the name of exploration.

The original expedition, dubbed by Sir Ernest Shackleton the 'Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition', became famous as one of the most remarkable tales of Endurance, Leadership, and Survival. With no means of contacting the outside world for help, Shackleton succeeded in getting his entire crew safely back home after years of freezing temperatures, heartaches, danger, and starvation. The expedition, 'Shackleton's Unfinished Business', aims to replicate the world's first crossing from Vahsel Bay to Mcmurdo Bay in Antarctica via the South Pole.

Paton and the others are now going to finished what Shackleton started, 100 years after the original attempt.

Charlie believes that adventurous spirit lies in everyone. Lifesystems are proud to support him on this epic adventure of over 1,800 miles coast to coast, which has never before been achieved.
